Whitestone Lake Estates is a gated water ski community in north Georgia nestled between the charming towns of Jasper and Ellijay, in the foot hills of the Appalachian Mountains, in Talking Rock, Georgia.  WLE is just an hours drive from Atlanta. The facility includes two private man-made water ski lakes. Each lake has a ski boat, boat dock with a hoist, starting docks and slalom course. Lake 1 also has a jump ramp and course. Whitestone offers water skiing, jump, trick skiing, kneeboarding and barefoot waterskiing behind their AWSA approved towboats.  Whitestone typically hosts several tournaments during the season.

The Whitestone Ski Club has hosted the AWSA Southern Regional Championships, the Southern Region Barefoot Championships, the Kneeboard Nationals, an 2018 AWSA Tri-State Championship and the first stop of the 2008 Pro Water Ski Tour. The annual ‘Summer Starter’ is a 3 event record tournament that draws skiers from several states. There is a large pavilion at the end of Lake 1 that serves as a community gathering site which features a changing area, workbench, storage shelves, picnic area, and refrigerator. In addition, there is a judges’ tower between the lakes that provides great viewing for both lakes. Whitestone Lake Estates is a private ski community, so you must be a property owner, or guest of a property owner to ski. Please arrange a skiing partner before your visit.
